Countertops
There are a wide variety of countertop materials available to you. Here is a brief description of my personal favorites! If you see a material you are interested please don’t hesitate to let us know!
Laminate Countertops
Laminate countertops are a great option, they come in a wide array of colors and textures to compliment any home. Another exciting feature of Laminate counter top is the amount of edging features you can have with it, you can do inlays, beveled edges, insert another countertop material {such as a Granite or Quartz} into it.They are not only beautiful but the most affordable countertop choice on the market currently. Laminate is also extremely easy to maintain, just use a damp cloth and a mild cleanser to clean up most spills!
Granite Countertops
Granite countertops are currently the most popular choice for a countertop in any room of the house. Granite is one of the hardest and strongest naturally occurring materials and comes in an infinite amount of colors and patterns. No two slabs of Granite are the same, making each and every countertop unique. Due to it’s hard and strong surface, it won’t scratch, you can cut your veggies, put hot pots on it, etc. Depending on the color and Granite you choose, will depend on how you clean it and if it needs to be sealed. We are more than happy to help you figure out if your Granite does or doesn’t need to be stained and to go over proper cleaning methods of it with you to keep it looking pristine for many years to come!
Quartz Countertop
Quartz countertop is a man made material and is heat, chemical, and scratch resistant. Quartz countertops are generally made to look like granite, because they have the same key benefits. Quartz proves to be more cost effective than Granite, and choosing one over the other is purely a personal preference. It is however, very easy to clean just use hot water and a sponge and you’re all set. Using soap isn’t recommended to clean this surface as it can leave a residue build up over time.
Soapstone Countertops
Soapstone countertops are generally a lighter or gray/green color before being treated. It is a natural stone that gives you a different look than granite or marble, and becoming more and more popular. A lot of homeowners are even using soapstone as their sink because of it’s elegant look and durability and non-porous surface { which means it won’t stain!}. Also, like Granite Soapstone is heat resistant but it is prone to scratches and nicks { most scratches can be sanded down however }.
Acrylic Countertops
Acrylic countertops come in a variety of colors and visual textures. They’re extremely hard and dense because of this they are stain resistant. If they do for some reason have minor discoloration or scratches, you can most of sand it out. You can also get this product in two forms: A Solid Acrylic or an Acrylic laminated version. When you start picking out your Acrylic countertop we can go over which would be the best option for you!
